新疆天山天池風(fēng)景名勝區(qū)位于新疆維吾爾自治區(qū)昌吉回族自治州阜康市境內(nèi)博格達(dá)峰下的半山腰，是中國(guó)國(guó)家級(jí)風(fēng)景名勝區(qū)、國(guó)家AAAAA級(jí)風(fēng)景區(qū)。風(fēng)景區(qū)總面積達(dá)160平方公里（規(guī)劃面積548平方公里），以天池為中心，北起石門(mén)、南到雪線、西達(dá)馬牙山、東至大東溝，有完整的4個(gè)垂直自然景觀帶。
2013年，新疆天山天池風(fēng)景名勝區(qū)被列入聯(lián)合國(guó)教科文組織世界遺產(chǎn)名錄。[1]2015年6月，天山天池的西王母神話列入中國(guó)第四批國(guó)家級(jí)非物質(zhì)文化遺產(chǎn)代表性項(xiàng)目。
